Winterhalder and Hofmeier were a very successful German clock manufacturer from 1850 – 1933. They were known for their good quality clocks, made mainly for the foreign market, in particular Britain. Cottage clocks were popular from the 1830’s to approx. 1910.
This particular clock has an alarm and no doubt was used as such. Its dial (face) and case has aged very nicely and is actually part of a pair of near identical clocks.

Condition:-
The movement is fully overhauled and is guaranteed for a year. The dial (face) has had minor touching up done to the numerals in places, in particular the small alarm disc, otherwise original patina. The case is in excellent condition for its age.
