Sperry & Bryant manufactured clocks for less than 10 years during the 1850s.They were based in Williamstown New York, making this, really the beginning of the American, affordable clocks, that would flood the country for the following 50 years. In the 1850s, octagonal drop dial clocks were very popular so this clock was very much up to date at the time.
This particular clock has a mahogany veneer with floral and birdlife mother of pearl inlay. It has a rope effect brass lentical surround. It is an 8 day clock striking the hours on a bell.
