Description
This clock was made during the early 1850s, pre 1856. Originally based in New Haven Connecticut, Chancey Jerome went to England at this time to establish a market for his clocks through his company Jerome & Co in Liverpool. In 1856 he was bought out by Hiram Camp of New Haven clocks USA, with the company continuing as Jerome & Co for many years after. This particular clock has a carved mahogany surround and main box.
